You know you want to lose weight, right?

But here’s the question—do you do certain
things, act in certain ways that go directly against your desire to lose weight?

Why not find out.

First of all, write about all your reasons for
wanting to be thinner. Think about what your life would be like without the
extra weight, and without the kind of eating that you do. Picture yourself at
your goal weight, and how you would look, and even more important, how you
would feel. Even if you have doubts about your ability to actually get there,
try writing about how much you would like to. Think about what it would really
mean to you.

OK, now comes the other part.

Start with today. At the end of the day, write
down everything you did that counters your wish to lose the weight—everything
you can think of.  Think about not
just how much you ate, or the fact that you ate fattening things, but take note
of other kinds of behavior too.
For example, were you too critical of yourself? Did you run to food
because you needed a reward? Did you fall into a down mood and eat to get
yourself out of it?  Did you get
hopeless and think what’s the use anyway?
Think about your anti-weight loss behaviors again tomorrow, and the next day as
well.

Three days of reflecting on this will be enough
to show you if there is a discrepancy between what you want, and how you act.
Then you can set about the task of bringing what you do on a daily basis much
more in line with what you want for yourself, which is to lose the weight.

Day 2 for me and no hunger pains yet, although finding myself being very windy! Is this normal??

been on slimfast for 8 weeks now, also do 1 hour on the wii every morning and swim once a week ive already lost 2 and a half stone!!! if i can do it anyone can!!

Today is my 1st day of the 3-2-1 plan, so far so good. The girls I work with have had huge success with this plan so I am super hopeful. I had a baby 3 months ago and feel as though I still look pregnant so I am definitely determined. Fingers crossed

Went out on Friday and saw the photos on Saturday so I crept off to the local supermarket and bought slim fast - did it years ago when I didnt have loads to lose but now I have - here goes. Monday needs to be the start of a new me

Hi all day 3 not as hungry today,I find drinking water great,And instead of a takeaway Saturday night I am going to cook Steak and a salad,I was looking back at facebook photos and saw how in 3 years weight has slipped on .And ther push I needed though my daughter didnt want to insult ,when I asked her to be honest said my face was rounder,,,I didnt want to admit what I already knew,I just want to fit into my nice clothers again without a muffin top....1stone and a half to lose,,,

Hi everyone I have just started the plan today. I have been at slimming world for 20 weeks and I keep losing and putting on weight every other week so I feel like I am not getting anywhere. I have had a look at the 321 and I have decided to start the plan. I really want to lose at least 3lbs this week and try to incorporate some exercise. Hi All,

i started slim fast 3 weeks ago and have lost 12 pounds so far and in all honesty i have been naughty and had a KFC in week 2!!

Frances, if i can loose almost a stone in 3 weeks im sure someone else can too. Ive been getting off the bus 2 stops early and little things like that and it makes such a difference. Im confident enough now to put a swimmin cozzy on and get the gym to loose my last stone and 6 pounds.

hey everybody this time I am doing it for the last time , I am determind to, I have been on this 321 plan for just over a week , I have been to the gym twice for around 1-2 hrs each time and I have started to do 30 mins workout in the morning ( WHEN I HAVE TIME !!!!)
but I have already lost 6lbs in a week whooo whooo
I am 5ft 4in I was 15st.9lbs but now I am 15st 3lbs.Ihave never told anyone my weight before until now, it feels good!!! lets keep going.x

iv been on slim fast for two days. i am wondering if i am doing things right or not. on the monday i had a shake in the morning then slimfast pretzels and a slimfast chewwy bar then had my chips and fishcakes.

the second day i had a shake again in the morning 170g of grapes, slimfast pretzels and chewwy bar after i had another shake then ended with oven fish and chips i did some exercises.

im planning on havin tortillas on wed would sliced chicken breast with peppers and light mayo be ok for a meal (1) whilst having the two shakes and 3 snacks?

do you have to have them in the order of 3-2-1 or can u re arrange them as your eatting the same intake?

I've just started SlimFast on Sunday and am waiting until this coming Sunday to get on my Wi to see if I have lost anything! I feel better because I have walked to and from football (Blackpool - Seasiders!) yesterday and have been on the treadmill so surely to goodness I will have lost something! I am 47 now and finding it harder and harder to lose weight and think I must have to start looking at eating fewer calories than the recommendation....

Been on the Slim fast plan for 6 weeks now and have lost 1 stone 2lbs. I reached a Plateau but upped my walking and this seems to have got me loosing again. Don't give up if the weight sticks.

I'm just starting today - had my Caffe Latte shake for breakfast - plenty of coffee flavour which was great. WEight has crept up and up during my adult life and I now can't believe how heavy I've become despite being active and fortunately for me, healthy. Can't afford to stay this way and am SO unhappy with my size and the way I feel. I have exactly 8 stone to lose - very daunting and feel very determined this time. Been 'on a diet' all my adult life but this has to be it now. I'm looking forward to finding the real me - she's in there somewhere!

By the way, I have only been on the diet for 5 days and have already lost 1 pound. It feels good to be losing weight!!

Hi its me again!
What a stroke of luck, I bought my scales this week and thats when I discovered the horrible truth of me weighing in more than I ever have before at 13st 3. I must say I was more than a little shocked!

Anyway, my sons girlfriend came in yesterday and weighed herself. She told me that my scales were out as she had weighed herself that morning and week before on two different scales and had been 1 whole stone lighter than my scales were telling her.

Yay, my scales are exactly 1 stone heavier than they should be! I am actually now 12st 2. Yippee!!! Only 1 and a half stone to lose now xxxx :-)

Hi, I'm 36 am 5ft 6 and weigh in at 13st 3!!! I don't think I've ever been this much. Still I started on this plan yesterday and I am enjoying it so far. I want to lose about 2 and a half stone by March as I am Maid of Honour to my friend. Fingers crossed!!

Hi I've just started on the 3-2-1 plan. I have around 3 1/2 stone to lose. At 5' 10" people including my friends tell me I 'carry' the weight well. There is no such thing as carrying it well just carrying it. Recent photos taken have spurred me on to lose the weight once and for all. No more yo-yo dieting. This diet is easy to to follow and plenty of meal recipes so boredom shouldn't set in. Good luck to all who are on this journey!

I did slim fast for 6 months last year, i ate proparly and still went the gym 4 times a week i lost 3 stone i was 15 stone and now 12 and then came off it! Ive now started it again today and i would love to loose a further stone and half to be healthy with my BMI.

hi everyone been on the plan for two weeks first week lost 5and a half pounds then this week lost three pounds cant beleive how easy it is if i dont fancy a meal bar or shake i just make sure all my food is calorie counted and weighed think the key is to have 12 to 1400 cals a day its definatly working for me hope this has been helpfull to others good luck x

I liked the milk shakes,then thought why not try the plan after all I am drinking the shakes anyway, so here goes. I have difficulty with hips and twist in my spine,so normal things like walking I find painful, so any tips hint and so on will be appreciated.

I started on Slim fast on 12/7/10 i've found it easy as i've made sure i'm stocked up on my shakes & snack bars. I'm focused on making it work as i've got a holiday booked for next year...(I need to loose alot of weight!!!) I'll keep u posted on my 1st weeks progress.xxx

I am very far from being an expert dieter -failed at them all!! I am starting today with a couple of things to help me and a couple of things to help. The hindering thing is I cannot drink hot drinks without sugar, hate sweetners - so that is my one indulgance. To help -I think that milk might be a small problem for me so I am going to use rice milk to mix my shakes, its v low fat and full of calcium. I am 5ft 2 and nearly 13 stone so look like a squidgy dumpling - see thats the picture in my head -I am going to change that picture daily by using relaxation and visualization -you get what you think about and when you diet you think about how fat you are and foods you should not eat -so I am going to change the way I think.Tracey you have said you will look loke a beached whale in your dress -so you've decided that have you? -then you will! -no matter how well we stick to diets if we don't change our thoughts we will never change. Every day relax in a quiet room and picture yourself in your beautifull wedding dress and looking slim and comfortable, step into the picture and feel the admiration of eveyone.Embrace the feeling of looking good,wallow in the confidence that you feel. You are not doing anything wrong Tracey keep up the good work.

i ve just started the 3-2-1 slimfast today. i have 4 stone to lose. i ve tried everyother diet out there, weight watchers, slimming world, closer diets, tesco diets etc etc. I am veggie so do find it hard following some of these diets as they dont seem to have many choices unless i change alot of things in the diet which adds more calories etc. so with slimfast i dont really feel like i am going to be limited with evening meals as long as its 600 calories.

i have staarted slimfast at monday and also tried zumba for 45 minutes was good hard but i felt better for it is it good to do it will i loose weight with it if do 2 times week i do it at home as can not find group i only need to loose 1st will walking for 30 mins day help me loose weight to

i have only been doing slimfast for a week. me ans a mate started at the same time and te weight is falling of her.. i have tried weight watchers and slimming world and i didnt lose anything.. i walk everywhere and go swimming at least once a week.. i really need to lose weight can you give me any tips on how to do this please..

I like this. Its inspiring and I can write down what I will feel when I get to my goal weight which is motivating.

I have done food diaries in the past but this diary is more...much more
