Nail polish

I just found out about this beauty tip from my cousin and I’ve got to say, the time and gear it takes to set up is worth it. I usually suffer from brittle nails that get worse the longer they grow, and I’ve tried everything from rubbing crushed garlic on them to massaging them with lotion to store-brand nail strengthener polishes. Nothing really cut it.

Anyway, this little easy-to-do-at-home treatment is not only great for softening and then strengthening my nails, but also makes nail polish I use to last days longer than usual.

Set-up:
2 small bowls or tubs to soak each hand in
Olive Oil
Water
  1. Fill the tubs/bowls with water
  2. Pour a generous amount of olive oil into the bowl with the water, (and by generous I mean like 3 to 4 tablespoons).
  3. Soak your finders in each bowl/tub for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Take your hands out and wash off oil.

It’s a bit gross at first because it’s so incredibly greasy but once you wash it off, and the more often you do this, the sooner you’ll notice the difference of your lovely, shiny, healthy, STRONG, nails!
