It is most helpful to stay aware when you have slips. Don’t ignore them, or pretend they didn’t happen. They can teach you the most valuable things. You will have slips, no doubt. Accept them, and they become your most trusted friends. They lead to greater understanding, if only you let them.
Awareness leads to understanding, which leads to an unraveling of the mystery of your relationship with food and weight. That’s the superglue that makes a weight loss permanent.
