It is a truly shocking development to realise in the mirror today that the cellulite has moved from my thighs to my hips now. I thought something must be done. It is interesting that most of us seem to feel that cellulite is proportional to our weight gain. Not at all, it is from toxins which break down the collagen in the skin and ruin the blood vessels. So, here are my tips for reducing the orange peel effect!
1. Don’t drink too much coffee. Take up eating porridge, running, deep breaths and sleeping more at the weekend for your energy needs!
2. Drink, Drink, Drink Water. If you cant abide the taste of water, there is no excuse. You can go to the supermarket and pick up some squash or cordial to flavour your drinks. Speciality tea can also add to the water intake as well as helping to flush out your toxins.
3. Teach your partner massage. If you can get your partner to massage you regularly then the movement flushes out the toxins. Make sure you are always drinking water throughout. Home-made massage tokens can also make a nice addition to a birthday present. If you havent got a partner never fear because you can massage your own thighs and legs using a lufa in the shower.
4. Detoxinate your diet. You need to search for foods high in lecithin to restore strength to the cells in your body and some of the best nutrients for this are found in spinach, eggs and soy. In addition, to encourage the renewal of collagen in your skin it is necessary have milk, pulses and high protein meat. The best protein of all would be gained from eating oily fish. The essential fats in the oily fish also reduce any inflammation in the skin which can lead to cellulite.
